Getting ready for your Christmas Eve fortune-telling?
Here's a couple of funny stories on the subject:
# I was fortune-telling We took water from the third well. We walked back without looking back and without talking. The water was poured into a glass, the glass was placed on a mirror, in the glass we put a wedding ring, and in the ring a hair of the girl who was fortune-telling. The girl looked into the ring and had to see the groom. I saw a dead man in the ring. He was lying in a coffin with his hands on his chest. My fiancé must have died before we even met. And so it was, I never married.
# On Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, girls do different fortune-telling. One of them decided to read a fortune. She put a mirror on the table, lit a candle, sat in front of it and began to comb her hair and look in the mirror. She sat there and exactly at midnight she saw in the mirror a man coming out of the far corner and approaching her. She should jump up and switch on the light, but she froze and did not move. He walks over, grabs her by the throat and starts choking her. She freaked out and scratched him in the face. He disappeared. A few years passed, this girl got married, and her husband had a scratch mark on his cheek. And when she asked him how he got it, he turned away and kept silent.
